    Duralast Ignition Wires...will they work?

The ignition wires on my 1989 325i are crappy with torn boots. I want to get a new set and need it kind of urgently.

I found some Duralast ones from Autozone that do not come with a loom. Will these be okay? Was reading something about needing resistors and such on an E21 forum, but I don't know how relevant that is to the E30 at the moment.

That set will be okay if, and only if, it includes the pulse transformer for the Cylinder ID signal.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The photo seems to have the wire for the pulse transformer. I found a website selling complete Bosch kits for only 120 shipped. I might just go with those.

you can just remove it from your old wires. and actually, it will still run without it, it just won't run in semi-sequential mode anymore and your low end performance and idle will suffer.

How much are these wires? If they are like $150, just spend the extra cash and a get a set of 8mm from Bavarian.
