Which Cranksensor to use on a ES to IS head swap?

hey, which cranksensor should I use for the ES to IS swap?
And someone can you send me the link to the complete build sheet for this swap.. I was just reading some guys' build and he says no ES pistons can be used, yet everyone else has said yes..
thanx, I want to go forced induction, about 7pounds..

When you say head swap, are you changing the engine electronics as well? Unless you already have a super-eta you'll want to. If indeed you do have a seta, you can use the existing CPS on the front of the motor. If not, be careful mixing the later "i" parts with the earlier electronics. Some things will not play well together. (BTW - The "s" in "es" and "is" has nothing to do with the engine. If I'm not mistaken, all "es" models were early eta versions.)

Early eta pistons with an "i" head: Yes it works. Yes, it's not the optimal piston for the head. Yes, the compression is lower than either an "i" or the eta. But again, it works. And offers gains over the original eta. In my case, I picked up ~30HP.

Yeah, and No. I meant the whole "is" on a es bottom end, including cpu, alternator, intake mani, exhaust mani, head, valve cover,..., etc.
I was just wondering wiring wise, what will need to be done, kept, thrown away,..., so on,
So, even with a large compression loss, I'll see power gains, due to the higher rev limiter? And its' then o.k. to force induction it?

use the entire "i" harness, DME, and all sensors

you see some power gains, due to the higher revs and the better breathing head/cam

DME <?>... Sorry, I'd imagine thats' the PCM...ROIght?
And also.. The engine speed sensor, and reference point sensor remain the same layout... AKA. in the bellhousing? Are they the same? Which timing belt do I buy, for A 2.5 or a 2.7... What I really need is A reliable and Proven Buy sheet for the whole process, this way, i can make a budget for it, and cross stuff off as I acquire.
And... Whats this pin c101, I keep hearin about.,.., I know this is all available here, but my brain will inplode, If i have to read another 46 pages of some guys' build that keeps evolving.. If it was straight forward build., no prob. But one post progress, six comments, to unrelated questions, one progress, two questions, six comments.. etc..
If anybody has got a good thread for this pls. post, I hate to be a reposter, but my brain is melting...

you need *all* of the sensors from the 325i including the crank sensor. they are not the same. You also need the crank wheel/pulley.

there's a whole thread about Motronic 1.3 swaps. I suggest you start there.

so... anyone have the best thread for this swap? I mean, is it infact called a motronic 1.3 swap, i was informed its' a motronic 1.1 based system, the 2.5.,
And which pistons are ideal? which connecting rods? I have the chance now to pick up an' entire parts car, $$, or a block, sensors, pcm, etc..,$, so which and what..
Wheres' this thread>? and whats' it called?

1.1/1.3 are essentially the same thing, 1.3 just has more check codes and a much better built computer.

so 2.5's rock motronic 1.1. and 1.3.. what does the eta have? pls. throw in a link to the build thread for the hybrid.. I hate being talking about a link that exists, but I need to be refered to a good thread, not a 36 page bump and props one..

I'm not a search engine, I'll try to be helpful but you can spend your own time looking for the link just as easily as I can.

                    the eta is motronic 1.0

Probably one of the best writeups on the process. Detailed and in depth.
