Do you have a Bentley? There should be a diagnostic test in there. You could always unplug it and see if it runs better. It will run without it.

I do. And we unplugged the O2 sensor and it ran better for one loop around the block but then got pissed again.

The DME will have to re-learn it's maps, so driving it just around the block isn't gonna do it. You could pull the power and do a reset of the ecu.

Did some more digging, Camera batteries died...

There is what looks like charcoal canister under the intake tube and brake fluid resivor, I can see 2 vacuum lines. Both lines come from the top, one in the middle has about 5 inches of hose to what looks like some sort of valve. It's spring loaded, the only reason I know is because it is broken/smashed and the inernals of it are visible. Should I be concerned with this? The other hose goes somewhere under the car.

I noticed that there is a small rip in the intake hose that comes from the air box to the Intake manifold. I'll be getting a doner hose soon.

I also noticed that the car runs much better cold, as soon as it gets to the first line ( the one between operating temp and cold ) on the temp gauge, it starts to stumble.

What is happening at WOT there is a backfire coming through the intake manifold, you dont notice it as much under lower accel %ages but you can feel the power loss. Occasionally the stumbling goes away and the car comes alive.

I will continue my vacuum hunt, it might be slow, I have 2 other cars that need attention as well.....

Vaccum leaks will cause bad things. That is the EVAP canister and the line should go from there to that valve with the electrical connection and to the underside of the throttle body.

So that's mostly for emissions related stuff right? Or could that possibly be the problem

I really took my time and didn't overlook anything in my swap. Especially the vacuum lines.

does anyone think that it could possibly be the coolant sensor? in a different thread i think i remember someone saying something about the coolant sensor. im pretty sure mine is f'd and if thats the problem ill be really happy. (of course with my luck ill change that and it wont affect anything)

or does anyone else have any other ideas? im so close i can feel it...

Sad day. I did that and I guess I was a tooth or so off now I'm replacing valves.

I had a major stumble , backfire as car warmed up wouldn't take throttle...
turned out to be the fusible link, in the trunk, there is a separate power wire main hot wire to DME. taped to the battery cable undercarpet with heat shrink. terminal is in eng. comp on bat. cable block. chk for consistant 12v there. jiggle, or fondle, the fusible link to see if power is interupted now there's another idea...
