Oil Leak from Head Gasket ???????

    Anyone had this problem?

With the engine running no oil leak, as soon as it stop running you can see a small oil leak coming from the head gasket at the front right corner,
not much, but I want to fix it,

will a new head gasket fix the problem?

Oil in that area could be from the valve cover seals, the cam sahft seal, of the head gasket. Throughly clean that entire area and watch for the fist sign of oil. You don't want pull the head is the cause isn't the head gasket.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The oil is coming from right in between the head and the block on the front right corner,

the valve cover gasket and camshaft seal was replaced for new when I did the timing belt, no oil coming from any of these places,

with the area clean and free from oil, I star the engine and no oil leak,

but a soon as it's top running you can see a drop of oil coming right in between the head and the block on the front right corner,

I have had oil seeping from that area on my 1989 325ic. The quantity was much less than what you are reporting.

I changed the head gasket (and had the head milled because it was not flat) and the leak is gone.

I figured I would ask this here as I also have a leak coming from the head gasket area. There is no oil above the head, but right at the top of the head there is oil along the side of the engine. And it is gradually dripping down, it seems like it only leaks when the engine is off. would a new head gasket fix this ? thanks
