    Race Exhaust?

Im planing on doing my race exhaust with a dynomax race bullet muffler.
Itd going to be headers coming into a Y and from there 2.5 or 3" tubing to the bulet resonator and out to the side behind the passenger door.

Question is... What size would be better for the resonator/piping ? 2.5 or 3"

    Thanks

I'd go with the 3" and test pipe...

    Simplicity is your best option!

unless you have sound limits at your track.. then you might want to consider a couple mufflers too.

not if you have long tube headers

it might be too big for stock manifolds though, since they merge too soon.

if its a non turbo wouldnt you want it to hold some back pressure? i have a 2.5i impreza and people say dont go any bigger then 2.25 or 2.5 in tubing

no, you never want back pressure. you want velocity, and that comes from the headers.

There is no difference in sound.

People dont understand that a car needs to get rid of the exhaust gases. high flow cats and mufflers wont hurt anything.

i bet people dont know why your NOT supposed to port the exhaust side of a head, just polish it.

all im trying to say is: get the exhaust gases out, dont have any sort of pressure built up.
