    e30 325e -> 327i stroker conversion

    so i've been reading around for ways to get a little more power from my '87 325e and one thing that has me interested is the 2.7 stroker conversion by slapping the head from a 325i. just so happens i found an m20b25 from a 325i locally.

    i am by NO means car savy, infact getting this done i will more then likely take all the parts to my mechanic and say make it work. what i am having a hard time finding is a parts list, WHAT exactly do i need from this 325i to do the conversion. also what kind of prices should i be looking at?

    MY CAR: '87 325e
    PARTCAR: 89 325i (entire car available, excluding frame+body)

    any help regarding this would be very appreciated, thanks guys.

      Quick and sweet...everything. DME/wiring harness, engine harness, complete top end of M20B25 including manifolds, AFM, idle valve, intake boot. Extras you'll want include instrument cluster, exhaust, differential.

          IF you are not car savvy (as you say you are), then please don't attempt this as your first project. And there is no way I'd take it to a mechanic to have them do it, either. Labor costs will get absolutely crazy. If you're going to have your mechanic do it then either swap in the complete 325i engine or upgrade to a running M50 motor. The parts & labor of sorting the running M50 into an E30 can't be that much greater than the costs involved in pulling the eta motor, swapping heads, engine harness, ecu, etc. can they?

          Having just completed the eta-->i swap I can say that I am completely tired of being under the hood--and my labor is free!
