If the integrated expansion tank is your main priority, you can always bolt on a rad from the 1991 318is with M42B18 engine. It's got an integrated tank, but it's a bit smaller than that on the 325is.

If you want both the tank and larger capacity, you'll have to move up to an aluminum racing rad: http://www.bimmerworld.com/html/pwr-...9-e30-325i.htm

Why do you want an integrated tank? Just to clean up the bay?

I do not believe any of those tanks on the bimmerworld site have expansion tanks built in. My PWR rad doesnt.

IMHO Rad's with plastic ends and plastic expansion tanks are asking to fail. Get an all alum rad, and keep your tank where it is.

Go with the PWR 57mm :)

Unless you've done something to significantly increase the power, the stock radiator is good enough. I think it is possible to fit an E36 radiator in an 89 or late if you want to go down that path.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

An M42 radiator can cool a 6 cylinder just fine, even an S50.

I doubt you need a bigger radiator.

Yeah, M20 radiator is way more than enough for an M20. When does the car overheat? Have you checked the fan clutch? Checked and bled the coolant? Are you blowing white smoke? Could be a number of different things.
