    dont bother replacing them without a new valve cover gasket as well.

          id also recommend torquing the cover nuts in the right order/spec too to stops leaks or you'll get seepage

              I think its like 11ft/lb inside 4 criss cross outside 4 criss cross hand tight first, then final its in the bentley i think. for sure its in 101 projects

                    OK so i think its burning oil now.. too. when i really hit high rpms smokes comes out. ANd when i popped the oil fill cap off there was smoke inside.. I dont know what to do. Idont hav the money ro replace rings and rebuild.!!

                      It's an old motor, so it's somewhat acceptable for it to smoke a little bit. Unless it is laying down a James Bond smoke screen, dont worry about it too much.

                      The smoke when you remove the oil fill cap is un-related to engine wear. That is just because the oil is hot when you pop the cap off.

                        Thank god but my oil is still leaking out the front of the motor? I dont where is coming from. Its wet around the righr front corner of the head below the exhaust manifold and its dripped on the radiator hoses and all ove3r airconditioner bracket.? Also when it idles it stay constant but sounds like it got a rythm to it some what. and it shakes the car? other than that it runs good and pulls hard.
