    bore size for 1st over stock m20 2.5

    Can someone enlighten me on this.
    Need it to send to Ross for custom piston build.

    Shouldn't they know where to find that information? I'm sure it's in the Mahle book. Should be 84.15mm or something like that. Don't quote me though.

      common first overbore is .25 mm, so 84.25mm piston.

      edit- they definitely have that info though.

        Ross simply told me to gather all needed info and fill their request form and wait for reply.
        I found the info in Chiltons, from the library. Amazing how much information can be found in one building... who knew?

        2.5 piston info:
        Standard size 3.306in. 83.98mm
        Intermediate 3.309in. 84.06mm
        1st over 3.316in. 84.23mm
        2nd over 3.326in. 84.48mm

        Piston clearance (I believe this is side clearance, these do not calculate if used for wear.)
        New .0004-.0016in .01-.-04mm
        Old .005in .12mm

        Cylinder info:
        Standard size 3.3071-3.3075in 84.00-84.01mm
        Intermediate 3.3102-3.3106in 84.08-84.09mm
        1st over 3.3169-3.3173in 84.25-84.26mm
        2nd over 3.3267-3.3271in 84.50-84.51mm

        Out of round 0.0012in 0.03mm
