    Do i need this?

The small hose that goes from the cold start valve area right back into the intake manifold? The intake manifold from an 85 that im using doesn't have this. Can i just block that off since it seems to be just going in a loop?

well just in general i don't think its common practice to pull hoses out of the engine bay...

The motor is all apart and im putting it back together and im using the intake manifold from an 85 which doesn't have the place for that hose. Im just wondering if i really need to make a connecting provision for that hose or can i just delete it since its just loops back to its self.

Looks like a vacuum port going to another vacuum port. I'd just cap them off and call it a day.

Don't be a mayhem and try to out think bmw engineers and make "hose removal mods". It's most likely emissions control hosing. Why are you changing intake manifolds? Why not reuse what's on the car now?

Because i had already removed and cleaned the one off Jasons eta motor before i started tearing down my eta. I will look at the attachment on the plate side but im pretty sure it just routs right back to the intake and is just another chance to vacuum leaks.

Normally I'd agree, but just look at it. It's a vac line that runs to itself basically. It's not doing anything. He could leave it, or remove it and plug the holes, it wouldn't make a difference either way.

Unless you think it's a super compact EGR system contained within a single 1/4" vac line..
