    shaky idle

hi all, i got a '90 e30 325i in early june and it was on jackstands until this week (new alternator, belts, cooling system, tbelt, fresh OEM battery). so my question is this... when i started it, the idle was a bit stumbly -- which i figured was normal for a car that was sitting for so long. after about 30 minutes of driving through, the idle is still stumbling -- it fluctuates between 400 and 900 -- but it pulls fine above idle and at highway speeds.

any ideas? i'm hoping just running some seafoam will fix it. :/

    thanks!

when you were doing the maintanance you might have popped a vacuum hose off. That would def make for a shaky idle

you may also want to try cleaning your ICV with brake cleaner, let it dry put it back on and drive the car for about 10 mins.

i couldn't find any vaccum leaks, so i ended up cleaning the icv and seafoaming... it smoked for like 15 minutes but now i haven't seen any more idle issues!
