    Clutch swap--now no fuel

I'm getting frustrated. Here's the deal: I pulled the drivetrain (dropped w/ subframe) to swap the clutch. Put everything back together. Now it will crank like a champ, but has no fuel going to the rail. The main relay buzzes w/ ignition turned on & while cranking. Engine is a 2.7i running Motronic 1.1.

    What I've done/checked so far:

-rechecked harness connections @ firewall & grounds
-swapped in new 30A fuse into #11 slot
    -swapped fuel pump relays
-jumpered fuel pump relay & I got PLENTY of fuel flow to the rail
-checked voltage @ main relay (#30 & #86) and have good juice
-checked voltage @ ICV & all seems well

I'm leaning toward a new main relay, but Bentley says if I have good power to the ICV, then "the relay is probably working." If it's the main relay, fine. I'd just like to know why it decided to fail now?

Check to see if you have spark when cranking the engine. In this case no spark would probably mean that the DME isn't getting timing reference data and thus isn't enabling the fuel pump.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

But doesn't the pump give a short prime when the ignition is turned to 'on'? And why does the main relay buzz like crazy?

I pulled the grounding lead @ the battery tray & removed the clip that goes between the eyelet & tray. Cleaned the eyelet, then tried the ignition again. No more buzzing & I get fuel when I fire! I think it might be solved.

i belive the eta has a second position sensor on the top of the bell housing as well so make sure thats pulled in and all well and good

True, but this is an "i" Motronic conversion so the eta reference sensors are long-gone
