    ok so wtf..?

Ok, im still workin on this idle problem... It runs really good on the highway and doesnt skip a beat. But at low rpms if you rev it a little seems a little hesitant. AND IDLE IS ROUGH. Is at a constant rpm but my car is shakin and if you listen to the exhaust you can hear a skip or misfire. New plug wires and coil.. And intake manifold gasket.. and other hoses. No Check engine light. Im kinda stuck here idk wtf is causing this. I plan to have it smoke tested after xmas. But i just rebuilt the head and put it back on.. There was a tube that ran from inake manifold to the block as well that looked like it may have had a bad o ring and it had some kind of spring. I have no idea what that tube is or anything. Any suggestions?

mine is doing the same thing. but i think its because my distributor cap and wires cracked from a previous accident i was in.

man sounds like you have a vacuum leak if its only at idle... check all the hoses i just fixed my buddies that was doing the SAME thing. im going to say that im almost sure its a vacuum leak. that tube is bmws way of a pcv system because there is no pcv valve. if you have ever heard of using propane and a fitting while your car is at idle and move it around your engine bay when ever the idle picks up walla there is your vacuum leak!

ok well can you hear any audible hissing sound from anywhere listen real carefully when its idling. and check the hoses under the throttle body thats a common over looked place there should be either 3 or 4 hoses going up into the bottom of it. use a flashlight because one is kinda hard to see

could be off the master cylinder, do you hear any hissing? and is that tube on the side of the block back in all the way? make sure your valve cover is torqued down

Man no luck... i have no idea.. Its not as bad when its warmed up either. I Went down and messed with it for a while and no luck.. Do you think it could be cap or rotor? But if its going to the shop to get some bushins replaced that i cant do at the house.. so ill have him run the smoke test.. if i cant do anything!

thats the sole symptoms of a vacuum leak. and yes propane. you get like the little coleman bottles, believe it or not you can buy this fitting on a parts truck. but you get a nozzle and like a hose that you would put to put air in a fish tank and bleed the propane a little bit. when the rough idle goes away and smooths out there is where the vacuum leak is. i would say look in the morning or get a second set of eyes to see if somethng is out of place maybe somethnig your missing
