    Timing belt cover problem

I just finished installing a new timing belt and water pump. I was then installing the upper timing belt cover and I cant get the bolts to go all the way in, could the metal guides be causing a problem or did I possibly mess up the threads on the block?

    Any suggestions? Thanks

push the bolt in as far as it will go and check it every time you pop the hood?

So are both bolts not threading in, or just one of them?

                    both?

maybe your cover is bent? did you sit it on the ground? in the sun? where children could reach it?

The bolts dont screw in properly even without the cover on. I really think the holes are stripped.

Funny how threads magically screw themselves up when no ones looking.
