    O2 sensor options

I'm going to be buying a replacement O2 sensor for my 87 325is soon. Does brand make that big of a difference? Denso, Bosch etc? I was not planning on getting a "universal" fit w/ no plug fwiw

If the sensor is an OE equivalent exact fit part, it shouldn't matter what brand the sensor is, but the OE part is Bosch.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Ok thanks. I know w/ Toyota's (at least what the yotaheads say) if you run any O2 sensor other than Denso (OE), you'll have problems.

you want a 4 wire bosch narrowband sensor. I don't know if other brands will work but I suspect not. Otherwise it doesn't matter much.

On Toyota's and with my years of experience with them, yes. They have to be at least OE-equivilant (Denso/Bosch - doesn't matter) and not ghetto-rigged.
