    Fan wont stop

I installed rear fogs using the aux fuse box and antenna motor for power. I also put in smilies and ran the city lights off the side markers. Finally, i have the wiring for the HCS installed, but only 1 motor in and its not working yet.

Everything appeared to be fine until i changed all my belts, now the fan between the bumper and the radiator wont turn off unless i take out the fuse or take the key out. It comes on in key position 1 i think. It's 30 degrees out and the engine is cold. Any ideas of what to check?

HCS??? Hazard Communication System, Host Computer System, Harvard Computer Society...???

Check the temp switch that controls the fan in the radiator. If that switch is bad or its wiring is damaged the aux fan will operate when ignition is switched on.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

and i'll try checking the temp switch in the radiator. the dash still shows what seems to be the right temp though.

the radio was turning on and off today when i was sitting still and i realized that all the lights dim when the RPMs are low. now the battery wont charge and it wants to die at all the stop lights unless i hit the gas. both the alternator and the battery were changed 1 year ago, but i will also test them tomorrow. does that sound like i am shorting a wire and draining the power? when i installed the rear fogs i also wired them so they come on when i hit the brakes with a rectifier diode so the power from the fogs being on doesnt turn on the brakes. any ideas?

well it turns out it was just the alternator! it was still under warranty so it was free for me to swap a new one in and now the front fan is working properly again as well!
