E30 M20 into an E28

So My euro E28 that i picked up from the junk yard has really bad engine knock, so to speed up my S50B30 swap into the E30, i'm going to take the E30 motor and stick it into the E28.

My grand plan it to take it to take both cars to the auto hobby shop on base, get stalls side by side, then drop both motors out of the bottom.

swap subframes/ oil pans/ motor mount arms etc around then stick the M20B25 where the M20B20 used to live in the E28.

is this as easy as it seams, or am i in for a long weekend?

How did this end up going, oh so long ago? Picking up an auto 528e tomorrow, and rather than trying to play the very specific E28 5 speed swap game…it would be far easier to get an E30 setup.
