    325i OFF A CYLINDER ,,, Help !

Alrite guys, ran into some diffs

TFR'd the engine bay and powerwashed it on saturday to show the car on sunday.
I covered up the airfilter with a plastic bag.
When i went to start it again, she sounded fine, i let it tick for a while then rev-ed it a few times.
Then she went all lumpy, off a cylinder !

I checked all pots were getting a spark and they are ..
Nailed it to cylinder No.2 thats not firing, the rest are ok ..
Bought all new spark plugs and fitted them ..
No.2 injector is clicking away so its getting electric and fuel ..
Tested HT leads and swapped them around, still No.2 thats not firing ..
Done a compression test and No.2 is on par with 1 & 3 ok ..
Took off full ignition wirring harness, put it into a hot and dry area for 2 days ..
Cleaned and inspected distributer cap, dressed contacts, squirk of WD40 ..

I took it to the show anyway and that was a good 80 mile round trip so shes had plenty of time to dry out and come in if she was going to.

Stumped here lads, shes getting fuel, a spark and its not mechanical from what i can see .

    Could she be over fueling?
The No2. plug does seem a little drenched in juice when i take it out, but then again , that could be the norm since its not firing ..

Any help or pointers much appreciated guys .....

    Cheers ...........

i dont know if this would work, but what about spraying starter fluid into the spark plug hole? just to fully rule out a fuel issue.

I'd replace the spark plugs and see if maybe that'll help at all. Definately check the cap, rotor and plug wires.
          Need a part? PM me.

possibly water in the injector harness connection under the intake manifold, twist to open. the lower connector is mounted in a metal bracket on the block. reach under the bracket and unsecrew the plastic lock ring. disconect dry/ clean reasemble. make sure water isn't built up inside of the harness cover use electronic cleaner and possibly a dab of dielectric greases. as is said ask me how I ....
