    Exhaust Manifold glowing

So after a few mins of some drifting and donuts i stop and someone says my car is on fire. I pop the hood and the headers are glowing.

No just so you guys no I have a "stock" ETA. How ever 2 weeks ago I put a new muffler on for sounds. I noticed with this muffler I lost some top end power( 4500 and up) I am assuming that theres wayyyyy to much back pressure. So I did a few more round and would let the car cool for about 15 mins. After One of the last runs I looked under and saw the headers, downpipe and piping to the cat glowing. Any ideas what it could be? Running Lean? or the muffler isnt flowing well? I never had this problem b4 till last night.

Didn't I already walk you through this with the m10 car?

Any misfires? Timing? Did you try to "tune" something?

Yes with the m10, this is my m20 :D

I recently did the headgasket, water pump, intake gaskets ...the hole nine yards. Had a bad vacuum leak but found out it was the metal breather tube. I fixed that and my car ran great ever since! But last night I was like wtf. Is it normal for that to happen in high rpms for some few mins? But like I said since I put that muffler on it killed my top end ... I have no problem drive normal like today

I know, that's what I'm saying, refer to what everyone told you to check on the m10 with this m20 car, an engine is an engine.

I had that shit happen on my exploder but figured out that a plastic bag attached itself to the cat hence the smell and glowing pipping.

this happens to rx8s a lot, its very common for the cat to break up and really stop the flow.

my guess: you have something in there thats blocking the path of the exhaust.

Could be the new muffler or the cat is clogged.

I would tend to lean more towards the cat as well.

you could be running lean too. That happened to our FSAE car cause it was running lean... also you may wanna check your valves after that.... they can burn up because of that
                            Oh babay babay
