    Benefits of an O2 Sensor

Was thinking about replacing mine as it looks stock. Car runs great as of now. Just wondering what a new O2 sensor might do to my car's running performance. Smoother? Better mileage?

Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."

        Great. I'm sold.

On that note, aren't I able to run an O2 sensor from an old Fox Body Rustang? Would I have to hook up the wiring different?

I actually lost a little performance when I replaced mine since it was running richer than it should have, but I don't mind.

An OE oxygen sensor with proper plug is only $70 here

                lol fap...

Anyway, doubt I'll do any splicing. I'm not much of an electrician and I'd rather not mess things up.

Honestly, my car runs fine and I probably shouldn't replace the O2 sensor (maybe it's not broken??). I'm going to fix this breather hose first and see how my car runs after that. There shouldn't be any other vacuum leaks. Spark plugs look like they might look like on a 21 year old car (I replace them regularly).

Just trying to keep my car nice and tidy.

You can just take it out and look at it, maybe clean it off. I'm still running the OE sensor.
