    fuel issue

ran the car pretty low on gas today. Once i got gas was bloging out almost like running lean. Reset the ecu and ran ok. Drove about 40 miles and now will not pass 4k .
car: 87 325es m20b27. Could it be the fuel pump or FPR? lrt knoe if anyone had the same issue.

Haha, I did this once. Ran my E30 dry at a bonfire, it is the middle relay.

ok well this is weird. After letting the car sit for 2 hours i jumped in drove under 3k to the freeway and was like ok im going to try to open it up again. Well what do you know, pulls all the way to 5k with no problem. Got back to my area (30 miles away) and still pulls to 5k. This is really weird. I can hear the High pressure pump alot louder now but its still working. Any in put would help.

I agree with nando, You probably got a high concentration of junk from the bottom of the gas tank running through the fuel filter.

              Yup asplode!
Did the same thing and had to replace both fuel pumps. Clogged up both and neither would work again.
