    oversized camshafts?

I'm not talking about increased lift or duration.

I've got a 731 head that needs to be machined on the bearing sections since it's scored enough to make me nervous about just putting in a new cam. But machining will obviously enlarge the bearings so a stock cam (325i) will be too small. Hope that makes sense.

Has anybody heard of getting an oversized camshaft for the problem I have? I've looked at schrick cams and figured they could make one but I really just want to run a stock 325i

And don't tell me that it's not worth it and that i should go m50.

edit: what about pressing in new bearings into the head itself?

I would think the solution would be to use bearing sleeves. a shop that does pushrod engines should know what to do. To my knowledge, nobody makes a cam with oversized bearings.

I suspect the cheaper solution is to get another head.
