    A few issues.

    1) There are two nipples on the coolant tank, the lower one is routed to my radiator, the top one goes to nothing. Fluid will just leak out, so I plugged it for now.

    2) Carbon canister. It has one hose going down (where its supposed to) and the other hose is just sticking up (srsly? wtf PO was a moron...) with no check valve and I don't know where the other end after the check valve goes into

    3) Did the car come stock with some sort of PNP wiring harness? Because the jackass before me seemed to ignore it and hard wired his radio straight to a connector that goes into it.

    4) Temp gauge doesn't work. I'd like to know what to check, car seems to run hotter then my e36 did...might just be me? Either way I'd like to know.

    5) Bog under acceleration, mostly in second... could be metal to metal on the intake, the canister thing, or a rotted fuel line. Take your pick.

It's a 1985 325e with a dinan chip, mustang injectors, dtm exhaust, and a hot air intake (moron...)

      1. coolant tank. top is for expansion. i wouldnt plug it. if your coolant gets too hot it can leak out. if its plugged, the pressure might build enough to blow the tank.

      2. get a bentley manual. you can find them online.

      3. pnp? plug and play? no.

      4. gauges are known for not functioning on e30s. they're old. test the sensor with a multimeter as step 1. step 2. replace the gauge.

      5. bog under acceleration could be a number of things. fuel pump, fuel filter, throttle position sensor. take your pick and start testing/replacing.

      6. get a normal airbox.

        To elaborate on Kershaw's comments.

The second nipple on the expansion tank is the overflow. It should have a piece of tubing on it that runs down the fender well to direct overflow toward the ground. If fluid is leaking out of that nipple, either the cooling system is being over pressurized (head gasket leak) or you have a bad expansion tank cap.

One side of the charcoal cannister should connect to a valve that attaches to the bottom of the throttle body.

The most common cause of the temperature gage not working is a bad SI board in the cluster.

Intake leaks are a popular cause of hesitation.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thank you. I'm guessing SI board is speed indicator?

no, SI board is service indicator. if you pull your cluster, unbolt the rear panel, you can see this rectangular small board that almost runs the length of your cluster. should have batteries on it...
