After wrestling with the old selector rod and getting my new Z3 shifter in the mount I crawled back under the car to find out that the gear selector coming from the transmission is too wide to fit into my DSSR end. I checked the part number again and its the right one for my car (89 325is, DSSR187). What gives? Not only is the selector from the transmission wide as hell its flopping around like crazy. Something isn't right in either case and I really hate to put my factory selector rod back on while I have it apart FFS.

I ordered the right parts from Pelican yesterday:
E36 Selector shaft joint - 25-11-7-503-525-M200
E36 Selector shaft joint pin - 23-41-1-466-134-M200
Also gonna replace:
Transmission output shaft seal - 23-12-1-205-340-M30
Selector shaft seal - 23-12-1-282-394-M30
All of it was $19 plus shipping (which I got free since I ordered some other things and qualified for free shipping, w00t)
Thanks for the help guys. Sucks I got to take it apart again, but its whatever, I keep telling myself that not having any slop will be worth it in the end.1985 RX7 - Badassery Exemplified.
