I completed my swap the other week and still have to put on the oil cooler. My car is an 86 with old style air dam and there are fitment issues due to oil line routing. I can find a good place for the cooler itself but running the lines looks almost impossible without cutting a bunch of sheetmetal.
1. Can I bend the stock oil cooler lines (pipe bender)so that I can route the lines without cutting the front end? (is this a good idea?)
2. Would it be a better idea to buy new lines that are 100% flexable so there are better choices to where the cooler can go to get more air?
My other thought is to just buy aftermarket cooler and lines and gang it with the rad in front with plenty of air flow.
Thoughts opinions?
Thanks,
G
