    wire ETA(85) o2 to i(89) engine harness

Sorry for the confusing title. I have a 2.7i build in my 85 e, the i parts are all from an 89. I still have the eta exhaust and was wondering if I could wire its O2 sensor to my new harness. Are i exhausts cheap to get at junk yards?

Unless the sensor has well less than 100k on it, it would not be worth the effort to adapt that sensor to the engine harness. Just get a new O2 sensor for an 88 or later.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Will it fit into my E exhaust though?

99.999% chance that it will. Most threads for the sensors are the same size.

I don't think it would work anyway, don't eta sensors have a different # of wires?

You know I have a good used I sensor laying around somewhere, the connector was cut off but I bought it new and only used it for a couple years. If I can find it, want it for $20?
