Check your line to from your fuel pump to the external connector. Sometimes these can leak loosing fpr after a while and no leaks can be found because it leaks back into tank

Check your injectors also. I had a one that was leaking and flooding the cylinder which was causing my hard start. I had them rebuilt through CruzinPerformance and my car runs like a champ now!

EDIT - Nvm! I read over the part you said you already have rebuilt injectors... My blunder.

You need to do a fuel pressure test first. It is very simple to do, and the cost of the fuel pressure guage is not very expensive. If you have an 325i, it should make around 43.5psi, at idle. When you shut the car down, it should hold pressure in the line as well. If not, your in the market for a new fuel pump. Some e30's have two pumps, some have one. Search for the details about what setup your car has. Stay away from those chinese ebay pumps too.

    Hey guys.
After trouble shooting some other issues, I have thrown a lot of parts at my car.

last annoying issue is that intermittently the car will take a long time to crank and will start on the first try.

other times it will not start on the first try
but start right away on the second start.

    my theory is,
that the fuel pressure regulator is on its way out and is slowly letting pressure out.
on the first crank it builds pressure and on the second start it starts right away.

    new parts
    main relay
    o2 relay
    fuel pump relay
    engine ground strap
    crank position sensor
    multimeter tested throttle position sensor
    new dme temp sensor
new cluster temp sensor( while i was there kind of thing)
o2 sensor( the orginal one was installed)
    fuel pump
    fuel filter
    rubber fuel lines
    rebuilt and calibrated fuel injectors
    cap, rotor, spark plugs
    air filter
    starter
    battery
    coil
things I want to replace to possibly fix this issue.
    • plug leads
    • fuel pressure regulator
