    top end rebuild "cam questions"

Need to do a head gasket very soon. I'm getting everything machined and a valve job. Considering a new cam, rockers, header and a chip. Just something off Ebay. Looking for some input . Not looking too spend a fortune either. lol

I'd have your machinst inspect the valve seals, springs, and cams first before you do it. They tend to hold up pretty well. At 200k my head only had to go to the CNC machine once and that was because I forced my mechanic to find an imperfection

cams can be expensive just do a chip for mid range torque. its not very expensive and you can feel the difference right where you want it! cams usually benefit mostly top end.

stock cam is pretty cheap - ~$150 or so. If your cam is worn down, a new stock replacement (plus new rockers and springs) is a good idea.

Only downside to running a new cam is getting the head drilled for a 7 bearing cam opposed to the 4 bearing eta cam.

I have an 'i' cam and double valve springs for sale. If you wants them, PM me.
