If you were taking a known to be running head off of a crashed car to install it on a car that had a snapped timing belt, would you really worry about getting it machined ?
Also if I don't get new headbolts because I have two sets of already used ones that seem fine is this awesome? I only ask because I already had the headgasket kit shipped out from pelican before I found out I should do the bolts while its off too.
Obviously trying to maneuver on a budget here to keep a DD up, but if the risk for throwing a gasket and possibly cracking the head in the future is just too high, then I'll get the thing machined.
