    Have a small tear in the intake boot...cause of rough idle?

    Just around where the metal band attaches the boot to the intake manifold.

    Could this cause a rough idle issue?

      Sure will. Any un-metered air will disrupt the ECU's processes.

          It would trip a check engine light wouldn't it? I think this may be my problem as well.
