Oil in #2 cylinder....ugh Head Gasket??

Driving in to work today and enjoying my self, shifted in to 5th and
got a spudder in the motor..
    Just that quick...
First thing that ran through my head way i broke a rocker arm...
pulled over. Turned off the car. looked over everything found nothing wrong. So I started the car. turned right on, but with a flutter..
Next thought was fouled plugs.. pulled and plugwires and found #2 had no change.. got home changed all the plugs started the car right up, but still, has a flutter... Check elc. I got Spark!
Pulled #2 and found alot of oil.. soked piston with carb cleaner and turned over the motor with plug out to blow the shit out..
replaced plug.. Ran perfact for about 4sec. Then the flutter came back..
Pulled the plug.. more oil.... not alot but enough to foul the plug...
????????Oh and get this as i was driving home I saw no smoke from the tailpipe or while running it in my garage got no smoke???????

Could it be a head gasket..?
    Valve guide?
    Injector??
    Please need help..

    thx
    jer

I don't know if it would be the HG, are there even oil passages adjacent to the cylinder sleeve? I would worry more about a broken oil scraper ring TBH.

Mileage? Mods to car and so on? Sounds like a rings, drain oil look for signs of metal.

The first thing I'd do would be to change the ignitions wires, distributor cap and rotor, unless they are pretty new. Then I'd check to see if injector #2 was firing. If none of that made any difference I'd run compression and leak down tests.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          OK I got spark..
New cap and rotor, about 400miles on them
          Injectors working well...
          wires have about 1,400miles
haven't done a leak down test yet..

Could it be a bad valve stem seal.. I few porsche guys at work and a muscle car/chevy guy all said "valve seals" seperately...ugh
I guess I'll pull the valve cover and inspect...
Kershaw: so what are you doing about it do you have a plan of attack.
or are you still baffled as I am...?

same hear cyl 5 and 6 plugs are loaded with oil and gunk. i did a compression test this past weekend front to rear 155,145,153,153,130,155 the bentley manuel said it could be a bad head gasket for a sudden drop like that. plus my motor blows blue smoke some times. my guess is valve seals and or head gasket. and hope its not the rings:(

The most obvious sign of worn out valve stem oil seals and/or valve guides is puffing blue smoke when you let off the gas at higher rpms. If you are engine braking going down a hill and you are leaving a smoke screen behind you that is a dead giveaway.

Gawd I'm hoping it's a head gasket then...
