MSII V3.0 Tuning cable?

Which tuning cable are most guys using with MSII? I know that late model laptops don't have DB9 ports. So how are you all tuning your MSII? Do you add an adapter to use with a usb port or is their a cable that connects to the MSII while using a USB port on a laptop? Thanx

buy an old laptop with a serial port ($100-$300 on ebay) or use a USB/serial adapter.

How does the USB/serial adapter work. Do you have to add something to the motherboard?

you plug it into the serial port on MS, and then a USB cable goes from the adapter to your laptop.
