    Do I have a stroker?

I purchased an M20 from a guy. I just noticed that on the block, there is a circle stamp and it says "2.5/2.7". Does this mean that it is a 2.7i bottom end? How can I tell if its a stroker or a regular M20? And no, I cannot ask PO.

    Thanks

      its a regular m20.

although you really cant tell without pulling the internals. but that is a common stamping. but im going to bet its just normal.

m30s have them too. they'll say 3.2/3.5 or something like that.

M20 block is the same for the 2.7 and 2.5. The internals are the difference. If you remove the head and you have domed pistons, the head has an 88 stamp, and then intake manifold is the eta version then you have an seta... maybe.

Take all of that with a grain of salt. It's late and I'm tired.

If this stamping is normal, I have no reason to believe its a stroker. Thanks

Put the last 7 numbers into realoem.com and it will tell you everything.

The engine number probably only has 7 numbers.
