just get a drop in kn filter and drill holes into the bottom of your airbox. Sounds sweet and works better than any cone filter

what makes them different ?

AFM uses a mechanical flapper and wiper arm on a circuit board. AFM is all electronic and on later versions of the 3 series. they are not interchangeable without serious mods.

Maybe I should have said "serious mods OR serious cash". I still wouldn't recommend that mod if you don't fully know the difference between the two.

Take the money you would spend on a CAI and stock up on STOCK Mahn filters. e30s air boxes are good as they get, unless you just want to rice it up like Bimmerista said!

If so, then the cosmo cai looks pretty cool. Supposed to sound good too. I dunno, waste of money if you ask me, which you didnt.

ive got the kamotors CF enclosed intake. if you ask me it was sorta worth it. only thing i notice is the sound and a little better throttle response, other than that its got a little more power up high, down low its the exact same maybe a smidge less.
