    Is this a SETA engine?

Looking at the pictures it's hard to tell if this is a SETA. The seller does not say what year car the engine came out of.

I know that the regular eta's and the seta's had different intake manifolds, and it looks like it has the updated metronic system based on the management ports.

Judging by those pics, yes it is.

It has the correct manifold and Crank position sensor for an SETA, but that isn't proof that it is an SETA. It could be an M20B27 with the head, intake, etc., from an M20B25. It would require a peak at the pistons to be able to say for certain what it is.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Skinny intake manifold, Motronic 1.1, pulse sensor, no oil filter housing. Looks like a Super ETA to me.

The seller says it's been compression, leak down tested and that all fluids have been drained to check for "foreign particles."

Though the whole engine is pictured it sounds like the only thing that is included in the sale is the oil pan, block, head, and valve cover. And he is not able to verify what year/model/miles the engine come out of.

He wants $425 + shipping and is unwilling to sell the block (crank rods, pistons, etc...) and oil pan only.

So it would be hard to tell if it is indeed a seta without seeing the pistons as I'm worried that the picture might be generic, because it sounds like the guy sells a lot of engines and it could possible be an old picture.

Seems like to much to pay for a seller who is unwilling to verify authenticity.

Judging from the pic YEs its an SuperEta engine. (unless a lot of shit has been changed, unlikely though)

But the seller is a fucktard and that is too much anyway. Pass.

Exactly what I was thinking, ha

Teaguer, are you still helping source and swap in 5 speed conversions? I'm up in OK and could use your help and experience.

I'll bring you a full Hi Performance silicon coolant/vacuum hose kit for your Alfa???? ha

Sorry, with the holidays and stuff I haven't replied, just skimmed it once and saw no boobies so i dismissed it. :D

And the Alfa needs a lot more help than a silicon hose set can offer. :)
