    Questions about metal backing plate

I'm about to do a 5-speed swap on my auto '89 325i and am compiling a parts list. I just need to know if I need if my automatic transmission car has that metal backing plate that sits in between the tranny and back of the engine? I know 5-speeds have this....but not sure about my Auto. Can anyone give me a quick yes or no? TIA!

I don't remember having to get on on the 5-speed swap I did.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I don't remember either, but I had both. I think I used the manual one for some reason though, because it had rust on it and i had to clean it up first. that makes me think the auto one doesn't fit.
