    5 Speed swap

What all would I need to do a 5speed swap to my 325is

I started with the idea of doing an eta setup so this is what I currently have.

    Eta trans G260
    early model shifter rebuild
eta clutch (is there a difference?)
    eta TOB and pilot bearing
    eta driveshafts

What would I need to do it the proper way with I parts? Can I keep anything I currently have?

    Thanks

Clutch master/slave, pedal set, and you have to have the proper flywheel: you want early ETA that has the position sensor. You might wanna shave a couple pounds off it, and of course a new pilot bearing.

Well I dont want to go the eta route anymore. I just have all that and then changed my mind.

I want the I trans setup.

I have the pedal box as well, master and slave. and I also have a 323i euro flywheel.

My real question is. Can I use the eta clutch and driveshafts as well as the pedal box? I heard something about pedal boxes being different between the airbag cars and the non. I did a non airbag swap I dont know if that helps.

      Thanks

If you want to use non-airbag pedals on an airbag car, you have to do the whole box as I understand it. What I do know for sure is you don't have to change the box on a non-bag car.

          Ok cool.

Will an eta clutch work in a I trans?

I think you can just swap the pedals. or at least, that's what you want to do - removing the airbag pedal box is not easy, and it also supports the steering column. I don't remember if the airbag/non airbag pedals are the same, but the boxes definitely aren't.

What the difference between the box and the pedals? I took the whole pedal assy out of the non airbag car. is that what you mean by pedal box?
