I've been gettin pushed around in my car. I have a stock 92 325ic and was thinkin about puttin lots of time and money into my engine. Is it even worth it? I want a mean engine that eats up ricers and is nasty  . Is it worth puttin the time and money into this m20 engine, or should I save my pennies until I have enough to swap in a 3.2 m3 engine or a m30 3.5. I want a fast, reliable e30, that can spank modified audi A4s or 1.8T jettas or hang with modern day beemers. What can this 2.7 m20 engine do? Can it be made into a fast piece of machinery or should I not waste my time and just prepare my suspension for a newer bigger engine. Hope everyone understands where I'm comin from. Thanks.

And you need to acknowledge what your car isnt, there really isnt any bmw that is built purely for straight line acceleration. So if that is what you are looking for go buy yourself an older mustang or camaro to do some highway racing where weight doesnt have as much to do with physics. also if your car is an automatic then that might be your problem, and if it is a manual your clutch wont take kindly to lots of high RPM shifts.
