    E36 injectors into an m20?

    Can you use M50 injectors (i think they're 17lbs) in the m20 motor for a 325i if you're using a markD chip?

Yes, as long as it is the chip which is intended for 17 # or 19 # injectors. It is the same chip. If it is the chip for the stock 14 # injectors then you need to use the stock e30 14 # injectors.

The chip will allow for more power since it will make the fuel and timing maps more aggressive. The larger injectors are not necessary from what I understand (unless you have extensive modifications like a stroker kit and large cam but even then I am not entirely sure where the line is drawn on when you need larger injectors). The benefit of the M50 injectors is that they are a 4 pintle design which is supposed to provide better fuel atomization. I would guess that rebuilt/cleaned M20 injectors would allow for more power than any old junkyard M50 ones though. To me the priority is good clean injectors and not so much injector size.
