I don't have a CAT anymore. I also forgot to say, that I had to replace the fusible link in the trunk. It was metal fuse part was broken in half.

^ Damn how in the heck did that rotor get like that? I will be checking the cap and rotor soon. I'm kinda busy. I'm a single parent, so I don't have as much time as I would like all the time.

@Dough-I don't have a Bentley manual. I do have a Haynes. I will look again to see if it has an electrical systems test. I don't really think that it does.

Ok I made an inline fuel press. gauge. When I start the car up and let it idle, it reads just below 40 psi. I don't know if I should say that is good or not. It is below what my Hanyes book says it should be.(43-45psi at idle) I have to get a longer piece of hose so I can see what it runs while I'm driving.

The coil is prob. factory. I have not checked the plugs in a while, but the last time I did they were fine.

I just checked the cap and rotor. They both look good.(like new) I just put another new fuel filter on. I'm goin to pull the injectors soon, and check them out. IDK what else to check. HELP ME!

if you pull the injectors, don't forget to replace the o rings, which will involve breaking whichever pintle caps you don't manage to break when you took the injectors out. napa in delmar carries seal kits that come with the o rings and new caps

Cool. Thanks Jon. I have a set if injectors that I'm thinking of trying out. Plus I might just go ahead and buy a new coil. seeing as how it is 20+ yrs. old.

no problem john. are you going to try another set of stock injectors, or others?
an OE replacement coil locally is gonna run around $80 iirc.
hopefully the injectors or coil will help your problem. just don't mix up the feed and return lines when ya put it back together. if it doesnt, maybe you could bring it by here and i can check it out. i don't know the most about these cars, but heh, another opinion couldn't hurt. just don't take it back to wulff's, save your money :P

Ok I did some more test. I checked the ign. coil. The primary side is a lil high at .8 ohms., and the secondary side is on the high side as well at 6,000ohms. when warm. I may need to change that?

The next thing I did was check fuel press. while driving. At idle and just norm. driving, it has good press. But when I try and give it some gas the press. falls right off to near 0 psi. So does that mean I need a fuel pump?

If the ignition coil is testing outside of spec you should replace it. Have you checked to see what the spark looks like at the plug to see if it is strong?

Yea I think I will get a new coil. Now what should I do about the fuel press. dropping off?
