    Fuel injectors?

I'm doing a general tune up on my car, and was just wondering if there would be any benefits to sapping out the fuel injectors on my '86 325es with some different ones. I've seen a lot of green top injectors from 5 series and whatnot. Any benefits for percormane or anything? Should I even bother? Thanks.

no. you can't swap to just any injectors, eta's use low-impedance injectors which are electronically incompatible with later style injectors. Not to mention, there is zero benefit to such a swap. money would be better spent having yours cleaned, tested and flowmatched.

If you want to do something with the injectors, have them cleaned and flow tested. I like RC Engineering for this.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Spend the $$$ getting them cleaned, its one of the few things you can do to an ETA, just did mine, 4 more MPG and more power. I've been told the 19 will work too HaHa but the ETA doesn't go to 7,000 RPM so 19's would be a waste even if you could get them to work, i'm on the they won't work correctly side of this. I have a MarkD chip, 325I throttle body, CAI, and exaust, not much else to do but a diff. Get a can of BG 44K injector cleaner or sea foam and enjoy!
