WTF are these injectors? Bosch? Crap?

Ok, bought these off of ebay and they were supposed to be Bosch 14.5lb injectors. The ones in my car are light blue.. so wtf are these? The idiot I bought them from scratched any markings off of them except what looks like the little Bosch icon. I have nothing to go by here. I don't want to toss 19lb injectors in my car.. I have no use for anything over stock on my M20.. it is tired, worn, and ready to be pulled in another 3K.

    Any ideas?

They look like 15 pound or 19 pound mustang injectors, they are interchangeable.

there should be a part # on them somewhere, so you can find out exactly what they are. but they are definitely not stock. They might be a newer design 14.5# injector though which could be a good thing.

Well they only cost me like $40 after a coupon.

They are flow tested and were cleaned and all of that. I figure I might as well just toss them in.

There are NO NUMBERS ANYWHERE on these things except for the 927 stamped near the harness connector.. that's why I was asking what they were.. I just wasn't used to the yellow tips. Look at the picture and you can see the scuffed up area on the brown plastic housing where they scraped the numbers off. There are no numbers anywhere else on these except the brown plastic casing.

The model number on every injector has been sanded off by a rotary tool like a dremel.. I have no idea why.. but they did it.

I was actually able to see most of the numbers on one of them and I think I found out what they are. I put some oil on a Q-Tip and rubbed it over the scratched off part number that was ever so slightly still visible on one of the injectors and came up with a faint "0 280 159 941"

This is a 14.1lb, 3 bar, 43.5psi injector according to a google search.

Should I run them? Should I return them to the dipshit on ebay for scratching out the part numbers?

I would run them and if they feel funny return them.

Full set of 6. I'll report back with an update after I stick them in. I'm changing all of my cooling and radiator hoses tomorrow too, replacing fan clutch, changing o2 sensor.. etc.

We'll see how the engine likes 14.1lb injectors..

Just take out ur fan clutch and fan... it causes 5 pounds of drag and u can just use ur AC fan. Or drop 50 bucks and get an electric and run of to a switch.

Will do.. but not til I pull the engine. I already have the replacement clutch on hand. Im just gonna use it. Everything is being pulled shortly.

right.. they are bosch injectors first of all.

second.. that shape/type of bosch injector is "0 280 150 XXX"

                      i googled 0 280 150 941 and:

152/10.5=14.4lb but doesnt look like the injectors u have (looking at top plastic part only as body can be painted and pintle caps vary with each seller).. try and get a better look at the last 3 numbers as its definately 0 280 150 XXX.

some people like grinding off the part numbers on injectors they sell to stop people just being able to go and buy some cheap/used injectors with the same part number later, etc.

                      Currently E30-less

I took pics of the least scraped one that I was able to read. Yes, I made a typo in that post above. They are all 0 280 150 941.

According to the few sites I looked at, they are listed as 14.1 or just 14lb/hr injectors.

I'm well aware of why someone would grind off the part number. I'm also well aware that doing that is a dick move. These are used and rebuilt injectors in the first place. I wouldn't have had to been as concerned about what I was sticking into my car or had to create a thread asking what these were if the part hadn't been defaced by the dumbass that sold them to me. I could have easily filed a paypal claim and gotten my money back over bullshit like that; but they work in the car just fine so far and I paid $40 or so for the full set of 6.

I can't complain for a price like that.

I attached some other pics of the least ground up injector.

Thanks for the help guys. Now we know that 0 280 150 941 works fine in the M20 without any apparent lean spots ;)
