pulling intake mani - what else

Hey guys I'm thinking of pulling and re-sealing the intake mani and throttle body. Also replacing injector seals and coolant temp sensor. Any other parts I should order before I do this? For example I know that when I did the heater core the hoses that connected to the firewall were quite old and stiff.

    E30 is 1991 325i.

the o-rings u find in the long tube that goes from the manifold to the block
    no more boosted m20, 91 318i...

      the bitch tube. lol.

here's a tip for reinstalling. use a small zip tie to compress the spring and slide it onto the tube. stick the tube in the block. it should be at least an inch below where the manifold sits. once you've got the manifold bolted into place, cut the zip tie with a knife and remove it with pliers. bitch tube should spring into place.

Damn, I certainly could have used this info installing my manifold yesterday. Be sure to note the order in which the spring, large washer and o-ring go on the bottom of the tube. I hope I got it correct but I put the o-ring in the block first, place the washer on top of the hole, and compressed the spring down while pushing the oil tube on. is this correct kershaw? OP don't forget the torque specs on the manifold nuts(22-24lbs) and replace the t-stat housing-to-manifold gasket while you're in there.

          Good advice guys:

-heater hoses (already got the part numbers)
          -t-stat housing to manifold gasket
          -o-rings

          keep em coming

what are the part numbers for the above stuff?

The o-rings is #9 right? Do I need a new spring?

X2 on the zip tied spring trick, works beautifully. I would replace the fuel lines as well. Also check and adjust if necessary the tps, its easier to fine tune its position off the car.

ahhhh sorry man. should of PM'd me, lol!

In the first diagram you posted, it's part #4. If don't know when or was last replaced, I would also suggest replacing the t-stat(part #5) in the same diagram. it should come with the o-ring(part #6) but if it doesn't order that as well. I would suggest the 185 degree t-stat for your location.

Okay found out that one gasket is definitely leaking. I actually ordered everything a few days ago just in case, so I'll definitely be doing this ASAP.

Are there any tips I should know for reinstalling the gaskets? I assume I should be following a "crisscrossing" torque sequence? Will I need to re-torque everything after a while again? There is one nut closest to the t-stat housing that is really hard to reach with a coolant hose in the way...
