There are not too many places that want to try out different things like raising the port and filling in the areas of the port that need it.
you want to increase the flow wihtout adding more volume to the port especially on a small cc M20

i am not trying to build a monster here. im not using any after market engine internals besides the cam, and as fare as head work goes i am just trying to see if i can do a few "simple" things to it while the head is off.
im going to stay away from anything that i think will be detrimental to head performance.
lots of the head work the guy in the e30tech thread is doing is really only worth while if you are adding other performance parts to work with the head work you are doing.
some of you may frown on me, but this is a budget garage build done buy a guy with no garage who is teaching him self everything as he goes. considering this i do not feel to bad about the progress i am making.
its a great learning experience, and there are plenty of m20 heads out there if i fuck up ;)

this is the m20 as of now

Very cool! Do you have any intentions on putting the car on a dyno when it is all buttoned back together? I will probably be doing something similar to what you are doing within the year (with the possible addition of a stroker crank/pistons).

I disagree. if you've added a cam, you've already added a performance part that makes headwork worthwile. Besides, he didn't do anything radical. Pay attention to his posts about valve seat angles and intake bowl work.

The car will go on a dyno at some point yes.
