    m20 crank pully help

I put a 325e crank pully on a 325i motor... will this hurt anything?

I'm not sure... But as long as they look identical then I don't see why not.

they look identical, but when i went to get the new belt for the fan and alternator it was too long... like the "e" pulley, where the belt sits was smaller. i went and got a smaller belt and it fits fine. I doubt that should have any negative affect. and they're both tooth'd so i guess it'd work. just wasnt too sure

The e has a smaller crank pulley and bigger water pump. The i has smaller water pump and bigger crank.

Doesn't seem like a big deal as long as the pulley has the toothed wheel for the crank sensor and you found the right belt.
