car just died goin down the road.

I have an 88 325i and I lost throttle response and it died when I pulled over. I just rebuilt it and everything. Any ideas? Thanks.

Without any further details, I can come to no other conclusion that you rebuilt it wrong.

It has ran for a week or so. It just quit. It wont start back up. Its not over heated or anything. Could it be my fuel pump? Or something. Just give me an idea other than I rebuilt it wrong. I rebuilt it from the head up. My fuel pump has been winding pretty loud. Could it be main relay? What?

pull a plug and see if it is getting spark.. see if the plug smells rich of fuel... check that all plugs and sensors are plugged in. check all fuses.

Give us details... Did it sputter then shut off? What does it do when you try to start it? Can you smell fuel from outside the car? Etc.

It didn't sputter and shut off, no fuel smell outside car. It just wont turn over. It has new spark plug wires and plugs. New fuel filter, all I can guess is fuel pump or main relay or crank position sensor.
