    Fuel Pump Issues

Do you really need to replaced the whole fuel pump assembly or can you just buy the fuel pump alone?

what is the part # for the fuel pump alone? I've search online but all i can find is the whole assembly. BMW only sell the whole assembly.

my car is a '90 325i. So it has the fuel pump assembly inside the tank.

    thank you

You can buy just the pump - try Pelican Parts ( www.pelicanparts.com ). You can also fit an aftermarket pump if you are willing to alter your pump mount a little on the bottom. Someone did a DIY on it if you look through that section of this site.

The pump from the DIY section works great.
