    ok R3V pop quiz.

lower radiator hose started leaking, changed it out and filled it up with coolant. started the car and all was well. then i test drove it for like 10 min and the low coolant light came on. so i looked and no signs of a leak anywhere and the coolant reservoir is still full and car is not overheating. wtf?!

bad coolant level sensor. You disturbed it by removing the coolant and now it is bitchy .

Its just a float with a switch on it. Not sure if it works out of the fluid but i think it does. It should be open when the floats up and closed(electrically) when down . They are prone to failure, if yours is old i would replace it. Also,if you unplug it the light should go out.
