    can i combine a b25 with b27

as it says above i have a 1990 325ix car that drives now but has frame damage so i am going to turn it into a parts car.

(i got tired of searching for a 325ix that does not run because everything on my car works well except for the frame so i was going to switch it all over to the new shell)

i was looking for project cars and found a few 80s 325e and 325es and was woundering if engine parts would cross over. like fuel pump, intake, and spark plugs and hoses.

i was also planning on putting together a stroker soon so would having both a M20B25 and a M20B27 right now help out

Everything would switch over except springs and front sway and steering rack. Everything engine wise will. The oil pans on ixs are different but that doesn't matter.

Intake boot would be different also from an eta. I would just buid a super eta are ur gonna end up with a slow car even slower than the IX lol.

There's a great thread about super eta build on here. Don't know the link but u can search it. If ur IX is an automatic I'd keep the rear Diff, seems like everyone is dick hungry for a 4.10 LSD. And u can sell the transfer case for some good money and front drive shaft. Oh and sell the front Diff. If its a manual ur still gonna have 3.91 diffs which are still pretty decent but its no 4.10.

I wouldn't do it. It has as much HP as an m10

I thought(I have been wrong before) that the b27 was supposed to be a good engine to build into a stroker

                    matt, you're retarded.

i LOVED my 87 325es. for DDing i'd much rather have an es than an is.

the ix has a different chassis than all the other e30s.
                    AWD > RWD

This isn't about the chassis I know they are dif I just want to know if getting the 325es could produce(with work) a fun fast car

With a lot of work. U might as well just get a 325i and boost it.
