I have a 88' super eta engine and I wan to know if I can upgrade my engine with a "I" head including all the necesary parts as afm, injectors, intake and ecu.But I can get the whole engine as well, what is better?. Also I want to know if the super eta with "I" head conversion will rev like a regular "i" or less rpm? Thanks in advance... I know that this quiestion has been asked before but I need more info, thanks again...

Yes, you can swap these parts onto a SETA block and have a '327i stroker' engine. You will need the ECU as well, which will then allow you to have the same rev limit as the 325i engines. You will get the torque of the SETA engine, and slightly more horsepower than you would have with a stock 325i motor (M20b25). You do not need to change injectors; the SETA engine has the same injectors as the 325i. You will need the head, intake boot, intake manifold, ECU, ICV, a few vaccuum lines, throttle body, and of course a gasket set. The throttle body gasket is NOT included in standard head gasket sets, so you will need to buy it seperately.
Too bad you're not in the continental US...I have ALL of the needed swap parts that I'm about to sell.
Good luck!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

I neglected to mention that you also need the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) and the AFM (Air Fuel Meter?) for the conversion.
For anyone interested in a COMPLETE SETA '327i' kit: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=214964

Yeah, I'm with Rigmaster on this one. I'm pretty sure the SETA's had the same wiring harness as the I's, so it should be pretty much plug and play. Check http://www.strictlyeta.net/technical/328i_1.html, he has an extensive article covering these types of modifications, that should answer all your questions.
